Dear Furnace Interest,

We are seeing more young people give their lives in wholehearted devotion to Jesus! They are being marked by Him and are responding with their lives. theFurnace is an avenue for you to place your heart before God and for Him to come and consume it with His love and passion.

theFurnace is a discipleship program in conjunction with New Life’s college department, the Mill, and we train students in prayer, discipleship, and wholehearted living. Specifically, students are placed in an accelerated environment to cultivate greater intimacy with God, fervent lives of intercession and a life plan to strategically advance the gospel.

theFurnace enables you to pursue a college degree or have a job while being discipled and equipped for ministry. This is possible because theFurnace is a 10-hour per week time commitment. Six of those hours are spent in prayer meetings. Furnace members attend three of the many prayer meetings offered. Two hours each week are spent at the Furnace Gathering, which is a corporate time of worship, prayer and teaching, Thursday nights at 6pm. Plus, two hours are spent in your groups, which consists of book groups, accountability, and serving the city in humanitarian efforts.

Furnace members have the opportunity to do ministry through our regional and national events called Desperation. Desperation events unite students across the nation through worship, prayer and fasting. Thus, Furnace members may coordinate, staff, and serve at these events.

We believe that you will benefit greatly from being in theFurnace, but it does require sacrifice as you are a part of this program while going to school and/or working. We encourage you to come and spend one or more years in theFurnace so that you may be launched into the plan God has for your life.

Read through the brochure for more details and information. Included is also a DVD with our history and testimonies of people just like you who joined our program. Fill out the application and turn it in on or before Friday September 10th to join the Fall semester.

Come be a part of a community that is going hard after God and see your own heart transformed into His likeness!
